Metal facades

Construction parts with a metal frame, such as prefabricated unitised facades, are very often created with aluminium profiles. Features like low weight, longevity, adaptability and reusability argue for its use.
Also, doors, windows and glazed handrails are constructed with aluminium.

Steel allows very filigree constructions and bridges large spans through its high firmness. It is also used for facade components under higher stress, such as big doors and gates, railings, or balcony structures.

If there are requirements concerning fire protection, depending on the range of application, both constructions with either aluminium or steel can be used.

The appropriate metal is also frequently used as material for movable construction parts of a facade.
